About the Mentor ProgramOur Mentor Program provides a unique look into the engineering program at NC State by pairing up high school students with NCSU engineering students. Over three weekends, these kids get to learn all about NC State and different disciplines of engineering in addition to building an interactive soldering kit while meeting other future engineers. We also give a great tour of NC State's main campus. This program is open to any student in grades 9-12 and no experience is necessary.

Our MissionThe goal of the Mentor Program is to facilitate the growth of and provide assistance to high school students as they think about life after high school. We seek to inform and engage the youth in the unique and exciting fields of engineering. To accomplish this, we focus on the creativity and skills to help each student grow as a potential engineer. Students will gain not only a wonderful experience, but create connections with their mentors to help in the transition into college.
